Terms of Service (Terms & Conditions)

Welcome to CV2Go! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the CV2Go website [www.cv2go.no] (the “Site”) and the services provided by CV2Go (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Site or our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using our Site or services, you confirm that you accept these Terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our Site and services. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and such modifications will be effective immediately upon posting on the Site. Your continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Eligibility

To use our services, you must be at least 18 years old or have parental or guardian consent if you are a minor. By using our Site, you confirm that you meet these eligibility requirements.

CV2Go provides users with tools to create, edit, and download CVs using customizable templates. The services may include both free and paid features. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue services (temporarily or permanently) without prior notice.

5. Payment and Billing (If Applicable)

5.1 Free and Paid Plans:

We offer both free and premium subscription plans. Paid plans may offer additional features and templates. Prices and payment terms for premium plans are displayed on the Site.

5.2 Payment Processing:

All payments for premium services are processed through secure third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal). We do not store payment information. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to provide accurate payment information and authorize us to charge you for services as described.

5.3 Refund Policy:

Refund requests must be submitted within one week of purchase. Refunds may be issued at our discretion, in accordance with our Refund Policy.

6. User Responsibilities

You agree to use the Site and our services for lawful purposes only. You must not:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Use the Site to transmit or post any content that is harmful, defamatory, or illegal.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Site’s security, functionality, or servers.

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account if you engage in prohibited activities.

7. Intellectual Property and Copyright Infringement

7.1 Ownership of Content

All content on the Site, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, templates, and software, is the property of CV2Go or its licensors and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not use, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content without our prior written permission, unless permitted by applicable law.

7.2 User-Generated Content

If you submit content to our Site, such as user reviews, comments, or CV content, you grant CV2Go a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and display such content as part of our services. By submitting user-generated content, you affirm that you have the necessary rights to grant this license and that your content does not infringe upon the rights of third parties.

7.3 License to Use Templates and Tools (EULA)

By accessing or downloading CV templates or using any digital tools provided by CV2Go, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the materials for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to the following conditions:

  • Permitted Use: You may use the templates and tools solely for creating, editing, and managing your CV or resumes for personal job applications.
  • Prohibited Use: You may not:
    • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute any templates or tools to third parties.
    • Use the materials for commercial purposes without express written consent from CV2Go.
    • Alter or modify the templates or tools in a way that breaches intellectual property rights.
  • Termination of License: This license will automatically terminate if you violate any of these restrictions, and CV2Go may terminate your access to the templates or tools at any time.

7.5 Copyright Infringement (DMCA) Notice

We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same. If you believe that content on our Site infringes upon your copyright, you may file a Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) notice with the following information:

  1. A description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed.
  2. A description of where the material that you claim is infringing is located on the Site.
  3. Your contact information (name, address, phone number, and email address).
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information you provided is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner’s behalf.

Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, we will take appropriate actions, including removing the infringing content or disabling access to it.

7.6 Repeat Infringers

In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable laws, CV2Go reserves the right to terminate accounts or restrict access to users who repeatedly infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.

8. Termination of Services

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Site and services at our discretion, without prior notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use our services will cease immediately. If you have a paid subscription, you may be eligible for a prorated refund, at our discretion.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CV2Go shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from:

  • Your use or inability to use the Site or services.
  • Errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in the information provided on the Site.
  • Unauthorized access to your account or personal data.

Our liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for our services in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

We provide the Site and our services “as is” and “as available” without any warranties, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

  • The Site will be error-free or uninterrupted.
  • The CVs created using our tools will guarantee job placement or meet specific requirements.

You use the Site and our services at your own risk.

11. Third-Party Links

Our Site may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by CV2Go. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services. Your interactions with such third-party sites are at your own risk.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Oslo, Norway.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and the “Last Updated” date will be revised accordingly. Your continued use of the Site after such changes constitute acceptance of the revised Terms.
